Dutchman's Curve Project, Fund-raising Auction To Be Held On eBay

In December 2007 a fund raising auction will be held on eBay to fund the Dutchman's Curve Project. Working with the Bellevue Harpeth Historical Association and the Metro Historic Commission and Richard Williams, Director of Mt. Olivet Cemetery, the project plans to:

  • Purchase a Metro Historic Marker to be placed on White Bridge Road.
  • Create a multi-media presentation documenting the local and family oral renditions of the events that occurred on the darkest day in U.S. passenger train history.
  • Work with educators in the public school system to increase student awareness of Nashville's rich history.
  • Design a Dutchman's Curve tour of graves at historic Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The eBay auction will include new and vintage items as well as services, sports memorabilia and event tickets. The date of the auction will be announced the first week of December.
